Cllr Nigel Randall

I am a graduate Aeronautical engineer of the City University, London and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
My career was spent within high technology electronics and engineering and my last major role was as Chairman of a public company whose major shareholder was a Japanese business. Although basically retired I still serve as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of a Manchester based engineering company, EDM Ltd., that specialises in Simulation and Training Equipment for aircraft.
Over the years my work required me to move home and before moving to Bourton-on-the- Water I was living in south Devon. Whilst there I was active in the local business community as member of the DTI’s South West Industrial Development Board, founder Chairman of Common Purpose in Plymouth and a Board member of the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
My interests include classic motor cars, travel, gardening and opera.
I am Vice-Chair of the Highways Committee and I also sit on three other committees: Planning, Community Centre and Finance & General Purposes.
