On Saturday 13th July four players from Bovey Tracey took part in the Mid Devon League (MDL) Cup Fours. This took place at Torbay Country Club.

The players from Bovey were Phil Joy (Skip), Andy Walding, Chris Shorland and Ray Parker. In the morning the four were drawn against Torbay Country Club who had the advantage of a home green. However, this proved an insufficient edge with Bovey running out with a very comfortable 33-6 win.

After lunch Bovey found themselves drawn against Kingsbridge Park. Again, Bovey were too strong for the opposition and this time ran out winners by a score of 27-14. So Bovey advance to the semi-finals of this competition which will be held at Paignton Bowls Club on Saturday 14th September 2019.
