The Council approved its 2026/27 Budget including the precept used by Durham County Council to adjust council tax levels at its meeting on Tuesday 20 January 2026.

The relevant report is in the 2026/27 folder of the Finance section of this website. The Council resolved to accept Option 1, which sets a precept of £7,000 to deliver a balanced budget and keep reserves at the level forecast for 31 March 2026.
