BE National Bowls Championships UPDATE

Commiserations to Lea Blackham and Steve Marszal who were beaten 17-12 by their opponents from Parkway BC in Huntingdonshire, in the Round of 32 of the Over 60s Pairs.

They have had a great run in the competition and it's very disapointing for them to just fall short of a trip to Royal Lymington Spa.

Congratulations to Lea Blackham and Steve Marszal who have progressed to the Norfolk & Suffolk Area Final of the Over 60s Pairs competition, following victories against pairs from Borough of Eye, Ipswich BC, and Beccles Town. In the Area Final they will play a pair from Norfolk BC on a neutral green with a Play By date of 15th July.

Individually, Lea and Steve also reached the Area Quarter Finals in the Over 60s Singles competition before losing out to opposition from Beccles Town and Ipswich BC respectively.

In the Ladies section, Cynthia Hollingsworth reached the Area Semi Final of the Champion of Champions competition before being beaten by an opponent from Borough of Eye.
