We have just received the following good news

'The CRAG Little Shore received a letter yesterday to tell them that Little Shore beach at Amble is now designated as a bathing water. This is a tribute to all the hard work by these volunteers to pull the application together. See the blog on our website (https://coquetriveractiongroup.org/blogs-and-latest-news/) and an article in the Ambler (https://www.theambler.co.uk/2026/05/15/now-we-can-celebrate-ambles-little-shore-awarded-bathing-water-status/).

And now to celebrate. CRAG will have a stall on both days of the Amble Puffin Festival (23rd and 24th May) explaining what bathing water designation means for the town. At 11 am on the 24th, Fenwick Ridley – the Ice Viking – will be leading a Big Splash (https://www.theambler.co.uk/2026/05/08/the-big-splash-ambles-little-shore/). We aim to encourage as many people as possible to swim or paddle in Little Shore to demonstrate support for Little Shore and to celebrate the success of the CRAG Little Shore team. See you there!!
