I have my own clay oven in the garden for cooking pizza and create the majority of my bread using local produce. My hope is that every piece I bake will give a sense of fun, generosity, satisfaction and entertainment; ingredients painstakingly added to my bread.

Suzie's Photography: Suzie is a recent addition to the market after moving up to Kirkby Stephen at the end of 2013. Her photography started off as a hobby however the move has allowed her to spend more time on it with the launch of a website in May 2014. Suzie's photographs are mainly of the local landscape and animals and include scenes from Mallerstang, the Eden Valley and the Lake District.

Turk's Head Products: Turk’s Head Products offer a wide range of preserves, jams, chutneys, jellies, marmalades, and seasonal items such as Christmas mincemeat and Christmas puddings, including gluten free and sugar free versions.  Everything is home made, in our farmhouse kitchen, cooked on a wood burning range.  We use no artificial additives, or sweeteners, and while making use of modern equipment, we use traditional methods to ensure the best possible taste and quality. Many of our preserves are made using locally produces fruit, and we look for hedgerow fruits in season too.  Star of the display is often the Spiced Apricot and Orange Chutney, sadly both those fruits are not often found in Cumbria!  Nevertheless, it is locally made, and very, very tasty, try it with a good cheddar, mmmmmmmmmm! Turk’s Head House is no more than a mile from the Brough Farmers’ Market, which is our closest outlet, the market is a great opportunity to meet people, and catch up with village life, market Saturday is one to look forward to.
