We will continue to campaign to save our no. 7 bus service. At the moment, if HCC continue with proposed cuts, we will lose the subsidy for the 7 which would take effect April 2019, and we know that it is likely that without the subsidy, the route will not be financially viable for local transport companies to run.

To this end, we plan to take part in another public deputation at the next full HCC meeting on 22nd February, focusing on the impact of potentially losing the number 7 service. To do this, we want to collect as much information from users of this service as possible. However, we can only do this by catching people at bus stops, which doesn’t leave long to speak to them before the bus comes!

Therefore we’d be really grateful if you could look at our survey questions below and email your responses to us through our contact page or email

Any answers would be useful but we particularly need to understand what you use the service for and what the impact of losing it would be for you. We used your examples in the last deputation and it really adds the personal angle to the statement. We know that many of you took part in the recent Transport in Hart survey, thank you, but this one focuses solely on the number 7.

In addition, it would be great to record any voices of number 7 bus users, so we could pull together a montage of voices to demonstrate the personal impact of losing this service. Please email us or send a Facebook message if you or people you know would like to be involved.
