Capel-le-Ferne Primary School PFA
Capel-le-Ferne has been recognised for achieving platinum status for our school travel plan, designed to cut school-run congestion by encouraging walking, cycling or car-sharing as well as improving road safety.
A total of 52 schools (out of 558) achieved platinum status this year, approved by Kent County Council. The awards ceremony was held at County Hall and Mr Blomfield (our Travel Plan Coordinator), was invited to present on what pupils, parents, teachers and governors have contributed at Capel-le-Ferne. The Platinum award is the highest level that can be achieved by schools in Kent. Great thanks have to go to Community Warden, our Community Warden as well as Councillor Frederick Scales as well as other members of the Travel Plan Committee. Headteacher Mr Metcalfe said that the response from parents as well as the local community has been exceptional and we look forward to maintaining this high standard in the future. Well done everybody!
