County of South Glamorgan Bowling Association - County competitions

As a club, we feel you should be aware of the 7 categories of competition that individuals of the club could enter this year. Certainly, during my time at the club, we have never entered any of these competitions to my knowledge.

They are as follows:

Open singles

Senior singles (over 60’s)

Senior pairs (over 60’s)

Open triples

Senior triples (over 60’s)

Open fours

Over 55’s fours

If anybody wishes to enter any of the above competitions, can you please enter your name on the relevant entry sheet list which will be situated on the club pavilion noticeboard. Alternatively forward your entry choice to myself via email and I will update the noticeboard accordingly.

Importantly, where you intend to enter doubles, triples or fours you will need to liaise with your fellow members and ensure that all members of the relevant team are listed. Time restrictions do not give the committee the privilege of formulating teams ourselves.

Most importantly, club entries must be submitted to the organisers by 2nd February 2022. Therefore, we will require all entry forms completed by Saturday 29th January 2022 at the very latest.

Entry cost is £3 per person and can be paid at a later date.

Other information:

• Once received, South Glamorgan CBA will formulate the draw and whether home or away.

• The draw will be passed to each club secretary.

• For singles competitions, it will be the responsibility of the home player to provide markers.

• Senior games are normally played in the afternoons and dates/times to be agreed by the competitors within designated timescales.
