The Parish Council has a new Chairperson with Lisa Scott succeeding Penny Shoubridge who stood down as a Councillor at the May elections after 13 years of dedicated service on behalf of the community. Penny had led the authority for the previous four years and helped drive a number of initiatives including the outdoor gym in the Recreation Ground, the improvements to Pudding Lane, Chapel Lane and Green Lane and had overseen the Millennium Field car park project to the point where it is about to be submitted as a planning application.

A Parish Councillor for 8 years, representing the Hookwood ward, Lisa has a track record in and out of the Council of working hard for the community on projects such as Community Speed Watch, climate change resilience, major walking and cycling infrastructure improvements and litter picking. Lisa has been chair of the Planning, Highways and Environment committee and the Neighbourhood Plan group, which aim to protect the unique character of our Parish and look to ensure that developments and house building are sustainable, in the right place, and where the community is in support of an application.
