At the Committee meeting on Monday 11 March 2019 the Chairman announced that Nigel Kavanagh had, for personal reasons, resigned as Captain with immediate effect. In accordance with normal procedure the elected Vice-Captain, Derek Fry, has therefore stepped up to take over as Club Captain.

Consequently, there is now a vacancy for Vice-Captain and the Committee invites nominations from members to fill this post until the next AGM. The Committee wish to fill this vacancy in time for the beginning of the summer season, so nominations, including the names of proposer and seconder, should be made in writing (e-mail is acceptable) to the Secretary by Friday 29 March 2019. If there is more than one nomination, the Committee will make an appointment at its meeting on 10 April 2019.
