Competitions Secretary


The Finals for this year's competitions take place this Sunday, 4 September, starting at 10 am.

Please come down and support all the bowlers who have won through to their finals: some of you will be very busy!

The line up is now finalised except for the Waghorne's triples, which depends on this Friday's matches. The full schedule will be published on the Club noticeboard, but below are the finalists.


Mens Handicap:     Paul Smallman (20)  v.  Peter McGiffie (22)

Ladies Pairs:         Jan Bowd & Brenda Miller v. Jackie Simmons & Joy Sheward

Waghorne Triples:  Maggie Newman, Jill Martin & Ray Hawkins v. Peter Weir, Jack Cratchley & Eddie Broughton

Club Championship: Don Hughes v. Roger Merrick

Mens Pairs:             Nigel Kavanagh & Frank Ladbrook v. Steve Pattenden & Andy Todd

Ladies Championship: Jane Hawkes v. Joy Sheward


Mens Two Woods:       Andy Todd v. Geoff Hack

President’s Cup  (Club Triples): Jill Whistler, Frank Ladbrook & Peter McGiffie v. Roger Merrick, Jack Cratchley & Stephen Tompkins

Ladies Two Woods:      Joy Sheward v. Jane Hawkes

The Mr & Mrs final between Jane & Keith Hawkes and Jan & Jim Bowd will be played on a later date.
