Indoor Bowling Roll Ups at Mid-Glos

If you are interested in playing indoor bowls on a full size rink, Richard Mason has arranged for Whaddon members to have the use of a rink at the Mid-Glos Club at Brockworth. There is a sign up sheet on the club noticeboard or you can contact Richard to let him know of your interest. Text of Richard's notice below:

You may be aware that Mid Glos have gone through major changes to avoid closure of their excellent facilities. Hopefully it will get itself back on its feet again under a new management board. The seven rink full length facilities are sadly, very much under used. With this in mind they are trying to get more non-members to make more use of the club.

I have negotiated an arrangement with them to allow Whaddon members to make use of their spare capacity. A Thursday pm slot between 1.30 to 3.30 is proposed, with a cost of £5.00 per person. Things will be kept as flexible as possible but will depend very much on the interest and support of Whaddon members. I am suggesting we test the water with a minimum of six members playing triples on a twice monthly basis - starting Thursday 26th October and 2nd November. We have been offered the use of 2 or more rinks if need be!

Mid Glos is 9 miles from Whaddon at Green Street, Brockworth, GL3 4LS: turn right at the Cross Hands round-about on the A46 (Shurdington Road), into Ermin Street, then 2nd left. Mid Glos on the right after 300 yards.
