The overall condition of the green is still soft and the corner next to the football club stand entrance is wet. Given the forecast of more rain in the next few days the Committee have decided to postpone the Opening of the Green until Friday 20 April 2018 at 1730. This was a decision taken reluctantly but the Committee considered the risk of causing damage to the green, which would affect its playing condition for the rest of the season, was too great and that we should allow it to dry out more thoroughly. Several other clubs in the Cheltenham area have also delayed their opening for the same reasons.

There will therefore be no play on the green before this date. Please note that the Triples game scheduled for Wednesday 18 April will now be played at Painswick BC. The Committee are sorry for any inconvenience and hope that you will be able to attend on the rearranged date.

If any member has concerns or wishes to raise an issue about the condition of the green, they should address these to Mike Newman, who is the Committee member responsible for management of the green.
