Object: The object of the association is to organise competitions between bowls clubs in the Coalville area.
Affiliation: All clubs belonging to the association must be affiliated to their County organisation.
Membership: Eligible clubs are those playing outdoor flat green bowls in the Coalville area. Clubs wishing to join should send a written application to the Association secretary at least eight weeks before the A.G.M. where acceptance/rejection will be considered.
Management: The management of the Association shall be vested in a committee which shall have the power to enforce the rules and make such by-laws as are necessary to operate the Association within the World Bowls rules as amended by Bowls England.
Committee: Each affiliated club may nominate one delegate. These delegates shall comprise the committee.
The committee shall be responsible for the operation of the Association and shall have the power to decide any questions of the interpretation of the rules or by-laws.
The committee shall have the power to expel an affiliated club for any misdemeanour or breach of the rules.
An expelled club shall have no claim on the Association.
Officers: Shall be the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, League Secretary, Competition Secretary and Safeguarding Officer and other officers as may be required.
Nominations for officers should be made to the secretary at least four weeks before the A.G.M.
Officers will be elected at the A.G.M. and will hold office for one year.
Indemnity: Each member of C & D Bowling Association shall (to the extent that such person is not entitled to recover under any policy of insurance) be entitled to be indemnified out of any and all funds available to C & D Bowling Association, which may lawfully be so applied, against all costs, expenses and liabilities whatsoever incurred by such person in the proper execution and discharge of duties undertaken on behalf of C & D Bowling Association or arising there from, or incurred in good faith in the purported discharge of such duties.
Committee Meetings: To be held as required. A quorum of 30% shall be necessary to conduct a committee meeting.
Financial year: The financial year shall end on 31st December. The treasurer will present a report to the A.G.M. Affiliation and league fees will be fixed at the A.G.M. Such fees should be paid to the treasurer by the end of April.
A.G.M.: Will be held no later than 3 months after the end of the financial year.
Rule Changes: May only be made at the A.G.M. Delegates will be advised of any proposed changes at least fourteen days before the A.G.M.
Extra Ordinary A.G.M.: May be requested in writing to the Association Secretary. Such a letter must be signed by a minimum of FIVE delegates.
