CBBA Two-Woods Singles 2025
The CBBA Two-Wood Singles is a one-day knockout tournament taking place on Saturday, 16th August at Three Clubs.
Format
Dress: Grey bottoms and club tops, please.
Players: There will be 29 bowlers in total. Each game is played over 21 ends, with two bowls per player. The winner is the player with the highest score at the end, or the one too far ahead to be caught. If the game ends in a tie, an extra end will be played.
Trial Ends: Each match will begin with two trial ends.
Rinks: We’ll do our best to ensure no one plays on the same rink twice. In the unlikely event that both players have already played on all rinks, we’ll roll a dice to decide which rink will be used.
Markers
Three Clubs will provide markers for the first six rinks of the day. After that, losing players from each round will be expected to stay and mark the next game.
Entry Fee
The entry fee is £2, payable on the day unless you have already paid during pre-registration. On arrival, please head to the main bar area for sign-in.
Parking
If the club car park is full, we have permission from the council to use the recreation ground behind the clubhouse (map attached). Access is via the park gate on Recreation Road, where someone in a hi-vis jacket will direct you. There is also parking on Beche Road and Weston Road, both just a few minutes’ walk from Three Clubs.
Food & Drinks
The bar will be open all day, serving bacon rolls, tea, coffee, and other food items. Please note that Three Clubs is still currently cash only.
Winner
Cash Prize, Trophy (not retained), Match against the Tendring Two-Woods winner at the Group 1 Finals at Frinton on 13th/14th September.
Start Times
To keep the day running smoothly, start times will be staggered. Please check your allocated time below, and aim to arrive at least 20 minutes beforehand to allow for parking, sign-in, and preparation.
