Inspire Summer of Fun
With the Summer Reading Challenge underway and a range of fabulous family theatre, exhibitions and events taking place in libraries and online, there's something for the whole family this summer with Inspire!
The Summer Reading Challenge is back and well underway, running until Sunday 5 September, at libraries across Nottinghamshire! Developed in partnership with the WWF, the world's leading independent conservation organisation, Wild World Heroes is a celebration of reading, nature and action for the environment. The challenge, aimed at children aged 4 - 11 years, is to read six or more library books over the summer.
How to take part:
- Sign up at the library to join in with the Summer Reading Challenge. Children pick up a special collector poster featuring a map of Wilderville, the hometown of the Wild World Heroes.
- Borrow books to read from the library and get reading!
- For every book read children collect stickers (some are smelly).(There's a bookmark and a pencil on offer too as children progress through the Challenge.)
- Every child who completes the challenge, by reading 6 library books, receives a medal and certificate

Same Same...But Different is a family show, mixing Kathak, Hip Hop dance, contemporary dance, hints of live music and physical storytelling.
Inspired by the well-known Anglo-Asian phrase ‘same, same...but different’, meaning "Yes, something kind of similar, but not the exact same thing”, 3 dancer-musicians conjure a magical atmosphere where we celebrate our individuality, diversity and the bonds which connect us all.
