Well almost.

Collingwood Bowling Club’s green is now officially open for the outdoor season, although due to the current building work of our clubhouse several of our first home games will be played away.

A good number of members turned out to watch Club President Michael Watson, officially open the green by bowling the first bowl of the season.

Whilst a great silence fell over the place as Michael set up and sent the bowl away to finish within 2 inches of the jack, one did hear a muttering of “He’s not up”

This writer has to say “Should that be the standard of Collingwood’s bowling over the season, we are in a very good place”

Our clubhouse renovation is moving rapidly ahead and the anticipation by club members for a good season is very high.
