As ever, the well attended Collingwood Bowling Club 2018 AGM was held on Saturday and whilst our club secretary will send his report to all members, a few points are worth a mention.

Club president Michael Watson expressed pleasure in seeing a good rise in new membership and went on to express his thanks to the club officials and trustees for their continued support and unselfish work on behalf of the club.

Business Manager, Alan Hall’s report on the status of the club’s re-structuring was met with great interest and the whole meeting gave thanks to Alan, in the usual manner, for the long hours and total commitment he has given to ensure Collingwood Bowling Club shall have a pavilion to be proud of and a welcoming place for teams from clubs who come to play us next season.

One proposal put to the meeting was met with an instant majority vote.

It was proposed that Michael Wilson (AKA Mr Collingwood Bowls) should receive a Life Membership of the club – Michael’s acceptance was met with rapturous applause!

Collingwood Bowling Club goes onwards and upwards.
