Our season is now in full swing with new members being fully involved in the club activities by taking part in bowls matches in the Friday Friendly League.

Saturdays continue to be as busy as ever and look set to become even busier, with more prospective members coming along to give bowling a try.

We are happy to continue to see Geoff and Margaret - County Coaches - running bowling coaching sessions on a Saturday morning. Members who attend are coached in all aspects of the game - all agree it is fun - and there is no doubt that members are showing vast improvement in substance and style. All good for Collingwood Bowling Club.

The club inter-competition matches are now well under way with members, heads in diaries fixing dates to play matches against each other.

Bowlers from Collingwood - George Jobe, Martin Hayden, Fabian Scott, Alan Hall and Chris Armstrong joined the Northumberland County Alsop team on June 2nd when Northumberland welcomed Lancashire to the match at Morpeth - Northumberland finishing as the overall winners.

As ever, there is always a warm welcome at Collingwood Bowling Club for everyone - pop along on a Saturday morning - you will enjoy it.
