And off to work we go!

Was very much the theme at Collingwood’s Bowling green on Friday when ‘Green Commander’ Brian Bolam and his merry crew of wing men and ladies turned up to repair, condition, and prepare the green for the closed season.

Four tons of top soil and some heavy toil – well by most – later, and the job looked ‘a good one’

After some enthusiastic endeavour by all concerned, it was time to have the usual cuppa – which is a Collingwood Bowling Club tradition – and contemplate how the green will look in the coming months.

However, the hearty volunteers did not go away unrewarded – each received a bar of Cadburys, compliments of the VP.

Grateful thanks go to all who gave their time, and more importantly their brawn, to ensure we have a green to envy next season.
