The closure is now only needed from 2300hrs on 24th until 27th December, length of closure reduced to two full days.
The closure will be at the bridge that crosses the A329 across the railway between Beale Park and Mead Lane.
Diversion will be via A329 Reading Road to Cholsey, Nosworthy Way, the A4074 back to Reading, A4155 and A329 back to Pangbourne.
Closure is so that Network Rail can remove the old redundant bridge adjacent to the new one. The closure has been organised to take advantage of the closure of the railway line.

In addition to the main diversion a local diversion will be signed via Pangbourne Hill, Reading Road and the B4009.
Visitors to Basildon Park will be signed via Bethesda Street.
Access only signs will be in place to deter traffic from using the Stitchens Green area.
Attached is an information letter from Network Rail and enquires should be addressed to them on the phone number in the letter quoting the works reference.
To allow the crane and associated large vehicles to access Skew bridge a dispensation has been issue for them to
