Compton Parish Council will be opening the Play Area in the Recreation Ground by 9am on Saturday 4th July 2020. To ensure you are ready to use the Play Area safely please read these simple instructions and plan ahead for safe fun this summer.

Scientific advice suggests that the COVID-19 virus can survive for up to several days on some hard surfaces. The risks are reduced when outdoors, where surfaces may be subject to UV light and/or rain. Whilst all possible practical measures have been put in place the user of this equipment does so at their own choice and risk.

  • A maximum of 1 family member per child.
  • Please retain 2m distance from other users e.g. pushing swings.
  • To enable as many children as possible to use the equipment, at busy times please limit use to 20 minutes.
  • If the play area is busy, please either wait or come back later.
  • Please ensure all users use hand sanitiser before and after using the equipment. Individuals must provide their own hand sanitiser.
  • Parents, carers or guardians should consider cleaning equipment prior to use, particularly where there are clear touch points, using your own supplies.
  • All parents, carers or guardians are responsible for their own children’s behaviour and should monitor this at all times.
  • When using equipment do not touch faces, put hands in mouths or put mouths on the equipment.
  • Consumption of food and drink within play areas is not permitted.
  • Please cough or sneeze into a tissue.
  • Please use face coverings where appropriate.
