COVID-19 restrictions; All Bowls Fixtures and events for 2020 are cancelled.
We have introduced a limited programme of social bowling from June 1st 2020.
Government guidelines now allow us to play singles and pairs with a limit on the number of players on the green at any time. Full details have been sent out to all club members and we will send updates as things change.
This is a great way to take advantage of the good weather, catching up with friends and having some much needed social contact. Please come along if you can.
Rinks must be booked in advance
Bowls is an exciting and competitive sport at all levels. It is a great pastime just to enjoy, relax and meet new friends from the local community. Our Club is open to new members, both male and female, no matter what your age, experience or standard.
The club is a section of the Cranleigh Village Sports and Social Club in Parsonage Road. We have a six-rink outdoor bowling green set in attractive secluded grounds with seating for spectators, making it a very pleasant environment in which to relax and play. The green is of an excellent standard and rated one of the finest in the county. It is often used to host county championship matches.
Throughout the summer season from April to September, we play competitively in League, EBA and Surrey Championships and friendly matches against other local clubs, as well as hosting our own club competitions.
The majority of matches take place during afternoons, evenings and at weekends. We also have informal practice sessions every week, usually on Tuesday and Friday afternoons.
Why not come along and give the game a try? You will be guaranteed a warm welcome.
