National Competition Updates

Below is an update on the progress made by our club members in the major competitions so far this season. Congratulations to all involved and commiserations to those who didn't quite make it through. Good luck to everyone in the upcoming fixtures.

Ladies

Liz Smerdon has qualified out of section for the Last 16 in the 4 wood singles, to be played on 15th July at Madeira

Helen Ellis and Jackie Hemmings-Anthony have qualified for the last 16 of the 2 wood singles, to be played on 9th July at Paignton

Helen Ellis & Nikki Payne have qualified for the last 16 of the pairs with Liz Smerdon and Amy Bond playing to qualify tonight at the club. Last 16 play on 23rd July at Abbrook Park

The Triples and Fours begin next week.

Men

Top Club team have made the area quarter finals and play either Sidmouth or Exonia

Two fours A & B team play each other this Friday for a place in the 1/4 finals to meet Topsham

We are well represented in the early rounds of the Pairs with Gary Ayley & Rob Paxton defeating Hampton & Southgate last night. Mike Tapp & Lloyd Reynolds, Rich Ellis & Gary Morphet, Steve Geatches & Trevor Newbery, Neil Thomas & Chris Bond all remain in the competition 2nd Round to be played on 5th June at Crediton and Exonia. Edd Tucker & Pete Sheppard play in the Semi Final on the 12th June at Crediton.
