Queen Elizabeth students choose Lawn Green Bowling for their games lesson this term. Crediton Bowling Club have hooked up with the curriculum at the local school to give an option for students to learn to play lawn green bowling during this current term. The students seem enthusiastic and keen and are welcomed by the club members who are helping to run the sessions several times each week. The club is hoping that some of the youngsters will realise that bowling can be a young persons game - indeed many of the England team at the Commenwealth Games were young persons, with 7 of the squad coming from Devon. There is plenty of support from Bowls England to bring on the young players and it is hoped that some might want to pursue the sport after their term of bowling. The club has a number of coaches to help beginners get to know the game better and advance in ability.
