Caps of Courage
Lions Clubs & Childhood Cancer
Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service organisation, with over 1.4 million members in more than 200 countries. Here in the British Isles, Lions work every day to make a difference in their communities through volunteering, fundraising, and hands-on service.
This year Lion President Deb has supported Caps of Courage, engaging with other community groups who have crochet, knit and sewed together these lovely caps. Thanks goes out to those that have helped with this project ... Here's where it started..........
One of our global causes is Childhood Cancer. Each year, thousands of children and young people face the reality of cancer treatment, and Lions are committed to bringing them comfort, hope, and practical support. Across the UK, Lions Clubs partner with hospitals, charities, and community groups to provide care packages, fund equipment, and back projects that make a meaningful impact for families.
Caps of Courage
Caps of Courage is part of that mission. By uniting volunteers to knit, crochet, and sew handmade caps, Lions are helping to bring warmth, confidence, and smiles to children and young people affected by cancer.
Every cap is a symbol of kindness, community, and courage.
