City View Restaurant

Nineteen of us set out on a bright sunny morning for the group’s first visit to City View Restaurant on Shooters Hill.  After a short walk through the campus, which in itself was an eye opener, we arrived at the building housing the restaurant.

We were directed to the third floor which gave some amazing views over the whole of sun-bathed London.  On the day we arrived there were only 4 other people eating in the restaurant.  We were greeted by being served a glass of decent red or white wine.  We were surprised not to be served by the students themselves but by a lady and gentleman who had obviously been to the Fawlty Towers school of serving and was a source of amusement!  The food itself was cooked by the third year students and was very tasty and beautifully presented. Portions were generous, especially the apple pie, and nobody came out hungry.  Overall it was a very enjoyable outing and certainly value for money at only £12 for a 3 course meal with wine and coffee.  If you feel you have missed out you can always book yourselves!
