Crondall Road

'Amethyst Fields' (opposite Brook House on Crondall Road)

May 2021

There has been a suggestion of housing development at 'Amethyst Fields' (in the field opposite Brook House on Crondall Road in Crookham Village, next to footpath 10 to Dogmersfield).

A request for advice has been made to Hart relating to possible housing through conversion and extension of the current stables and agricultural barn to dwellings and erection of a new dwelling in the field (Reference: 21/01343/PREAPP).

The 'pre-application' made to Hart is a request for advice and not a planning application.  Hart's planning department will issue advice to the applicant about the suitability of their ideas for proposed development.  Any application that follows would need to comply with relevant legislation and the policies in the Hart Local Plan and in the Crookham Village Neighbourhood Plan, among other things.

There may be hurdles for a planning application to overcome such as the plot being for agricultural not residential use and outside the settlement boundary.

If the applicant decides to submit a planning application after hearing Hart Planning's advice on the pre-application, a consultation will be opened for consultee and public comments.
