Morning all - we're all feeling refreshed today after our double date with nature recently. Some of our members took part in the Muqami Charity Walk for Peace at Hogmoor Inclosure - an amazing community event - raising funds for Dementia -friendly Alton whilst also raising awareness of dementia support in the area.
After the event - some of the walkers joined the regular ( monthly ) Flourish in the Forest event at Alice Holt Forest - Forestry England - enjoying the beautiful weather as they cycled, walked, chatted, sketched and immersed themselves in the forest. What an amazing day.
Looking forward to the next Forest Day on Saturday 3 June - why not join us - it's free to attend and lunch is provided. Thanks to Haskins Foundation Birdworld Surrey for funding this unique experience for people living with dementia and their carers.
Meanwhile, do come and visit us at our new venue, Edgar Hall, Anstey Park, which we are sharing with Alton Men's Shed.
