Such fun at our Panto
Dementia-friendly Alton
Well that was a really laugh, we had such fun ....... Oh yes we did!!
At our Wednesday Meeting this week we really showcased what we do as a group and how positively this impacts on the health and well-being of our members.
Created by all our members, who were so keen to have their own Panto, and then streamed live by Wey Valley Radio, the Panto Tale followed the story of 'Bo' a lovely carer and her forthcoming wedding plans - with all the usual 'highs, lows and giggles'. The role of Bo's mother, Window Twanky, saw our avid thespian 'Trevor' in his element, 'working the audience to the full', supported by Kat, Olivia and Mandie from Altonian Care. We sang along to variations of Hi Ho Hi Ho, Where did you get that Hat?, True Love, The Lambeth Walk and Once an Austrian went Yodelling - to name a few - as nothing was off limits thanks to the musical talent of Paul Tickner !!
What a good show, we certainly deserved the Bucks Fizz and cakes during the after show party. Thank you Josie, Mick, Geoff, Janet, Brian and Alan (Wey Valley Radio) and everybody else who supported this venture and helped us put it together. Lets do it all again next year !!!
