Order your seed potato for Spud In The Bucket competition for the 2026 Show

Seed potatoes for the ever popular annual Spud In The Bucket competition are now available.

The big reveal of the buckets' contents is one of the highlights of the Corvedale Autumn Show in September. 

It is surprising how many potatoes can be produced from a single plant.

Entrants are reminded that only official seed potatoes can be entered and the single potato must be grown in a standard two gallon plastic bucket. Foliage can be trimmed but the stem must remain on the plant.

Potatoes cost £1 and can be collected from John Woodhouse (01584 841359).
