Corvedale Footpath Group Report

February Report 2026

Some really good work was completed in February:

1. Richard, Clive, Pete and Bernard, along with Brian Hickson from Shropshire Council did a fantastic job replacing a broken down stile with a kissing gate on Aston Hall land. This is on the C3C route and also on Richard's favourite route to the Swan, so clearly of the highest priority!! We have a nice photo of the CFMG team and I'll submit this with the copy for the April Corvedale News.

2. On the same day Brian fixed/stabilised a gate onto the B4368.

3. Alan and Patrick repaired a stile step (Asset 0115) near Bache Mill.

4. I have been dealing with a landowner, Brian Hickson and local residents concerning the blockage of the track (which is actually an unclassified road) at Bouldon. Other than an overhanging branch which may fall off its perch, access is now fully clear.

The Working Party dates for the next month are:

27 February 2026

A successful week for our Footpath Group with the installation of a kissing gate on path between Aston Munsow and Diddlebury. And a big thank you to Brian Hickson - Shropshire Rights of Way, managed to change the wobbly gate in Diddlebury beside the Middlehope turning.
