Applications for the 2024 draw have now closed.
There were a total of 164 numbers applied for.
So that there is no confusion regarding the number of shares sold, the club this year will be known as CLUB 164.
This has resulted in a modification in how the prize monies will be distributed, there will be more prizes but the values of each will be slightly less than the 200 Club.
164 shares sold at £36 each realises a fund of £5904
This will be distributed as follows:
Donation to the Club - £3004 (50.9%)
Total Prize fund - £2900 (49.1%) - allocated as follows.
Every month Jan to November - £60, £50, £40, £30
June additional prize £200
December £500, £100, £50, £40, £30

Once issued, members will retain their number(s) for the duration of 2024.
Martin Puckett Club Celebration
Dorchester Bowls Club held a Celebration Party to honour the achievements of Martin Puckett, the England International bowler who plays for the County Town Club. Details and photos from the evening can be found in the gallery.

A great night, back by popular demand The Weymouth Ukulelans. Come along and enjoy an evening of music and songs you will all know. A small fee of £4 per person which will go to Joseph Weld Hospice. Phoenix Trophy
Saturday 1 October 2022 saw the Dorchester Men beat Dorchester Ladies 126-70 in the contest for the Phoenix Trophy. The Men now lead the Ladies by 5-4 as winners of this annual trophy. The Phoenix Trophy was set up to celebrate the re-opening of Dorchester Bowls Club following an arson attack in March 2011. The year's event was sponsored by Somerleigh Court Nursing Home whose representative Angela Roberts took many photos which will be available soon. Details of Somerleigh Court can be found on their website. A big thank you to Angela and Somerleigh Court for their continued support for the event. Also thank you to Joyce in the kitchen, Robbie in the bar and everyone who turned up and made it such an enjoyable afternoon.
The next Bingo Night Saturday 14 January 2023 at 19:30.
We need 20 people to make it worthwhile so please sign up on the notice in the club if you plan to attend.

Phoenix Trophy
This game has been postponed due to a number of positive COVID tests being recorded with the participants.
Saturday 19 March 2022 sees the annual Dorchester Men v Dorchester Ladies contest for the Phoenix Trophy. The game gets under way at 14:00, supporters welcome. The Phoenix Trophy was set up to celebrate the re-opening of Dorchester Bowls Club following an arson attack in March 2011. The year's event is being sponsored by Somerleigh Court Nursing Home. Many thanks to Tony Palmer and his team for a brilliant evening on Saturday 12 March 2022, very much enjoyed by all. The whole event was yet again so well organised! Thank you all so much for all your efforts which very kindly raised £182 for my chosen charity Joseph Weld Hospice.

President's Fun Day
Sandra Hubbard hosted a successful President's Fun Day on Sunday 27 February 2022.
"It was a great day thank you to all who came along. Considering I could only hold it indoors it was very successful and everyone said they enjoyed it.
The winners of the prize to make me smile was Eric & Hazel Newboult and runners up Kate & Geoff Webber.
Amount raised is £418.30 including £86.85 of that was very kindly donated by Dave & Gwen in the guess the amount in the five pence whisky bottle."
