Lengthsman Job Vacancy

4 hours per week

(Hours are Flexible, weather and daylight dependent)

£13.00 per hour

Duties include; but not limited to:

  • Litter picking & general tidying
  • Inspection, cleaning and minor maintenance of street furniture
  • Cleaning and maintenance of the War Memorial enclosure, Horne Lane Allotments Fencing/Gate, emptying Dunham Play area waste bin.
  • Cleaning and basic maintenance of bus shelters
  • Cutting back of overgrown vegetation around street furniture
  • Reporting Various Highways Issues to the District & County Council
  • Basic Paperwork
  • Clearing certain paths of snow
  • Monitoring of salt grit levels and salt spreading certain pavements in winter
  • Other ad-hoc duties as listed in the full job description

This role is outdoors and all year round, all weathers, would suit someone who enjoys walking and making a difference to the pride and appearance of the local community. Salary will be paid monthly, after submission of your monthly invoice and timesheet. As a self-employed contractor, you must arrange your own necessary PPE, equipment, insurance and training.
