Finance & Audit

The Parish Council accounts along with systems of governance are audited annually.

The Parish Council have an income of less than £25,000 and therefore audits, along with other financial documents must be published on the website for public inspection in order to meet the requirements of the Transparency Code for Smaller Authorities.

From 2017/18 the Parish Council will no longer have to complete an external audit, but many more documents should be publicly available on this website than has previously been required.

If you believe that there has been an omission under this Transparency Code, please let us know as soon as possible.

The following information must be published on the Parish Council Website to meet the Transparency Code by 1 July each year at the latest.

- all items of expenditure above £100 (exclusive of VAT) showing date / purpose / amount / VAT that cannot be recovered. Exceptions to this will be employee salaries when individual salaries can be identified.

- end of year accounts as per the annual returns.

- annual governance statement as per the annual returns.

- internal audit report.

- details of public land and building assets.

- agendas, approved minutes and papers of formal meetings (must be published more frequently - see "Meetings" page for more details).

- names of councillors, their responsibilities, and which committees and outside bodies they are put into by your council (see "Parish Councillors" page for details)
