Lots of people are reporting the green bins are full and the council are not emptying them.

The eagle-eyed amoungst you will have noticed the green bin sticks have expired too.

I expect this was overlooked because we didn't join the scheme until the end of August 2023 and we paid for a year so you wouldn't expect to renew it until August 2024.

However, the council say it's not a year from when you join the scheme it's a set year period from April to April so if you join the scheme in August like we did and pay a whole year, you only actually get August to April. Seems a bit harsh.

The office are dealing with this as we speak and they are paying the renewal and waiting for new stickers. As soon as they are on the bins the collection team with know they're ok to be emptied.
