Ethan started running at the age of eight years joining a local junior triathlon club who were affiliated to the Worthing swimming club (Worthing Otters). We thought this was a good way for him to enjoy his running and continue with the swimming he was already doing. Soon after this Ethan also joined the local running club Worthing Harriers but in recent times has moved with his running coach to a new club Team Synergy. In triathlons, the age groups are spilt in categories and you remain in each category for two years, TriStars then onto T1, T2, T3 and Youth.

Since then Ethan, who is now T3, has competed in a number of events as well as the South East England Triathlon series which he has held the title in both T1 & T2 age groups. He also qualified last year to represent the South East in the UK Inter Regional Championships (IRC) in Nottingham where he claimed sixth place. This year Ethan moved into the T3 age group and is currently competing in this year’s South East series which will comprise of Aquathlons (swim, run) Duathlons (run, bike, run) & Triathlons (swim, bike, run). Ethan has also competed for the County & South East at Cross Country as well as English schools.

Following the conclusion of this years T3 South East Triathlon Series 2016 - Ethan has claimed first place and will now concentrate on the World Biathle championships taking place in Sarasota Florida this October
