About Faringdon Bowling Club

We are a small friendly club with a mixed membership playing our bowls, both competitive and friendly, in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Swindon. We have men's teams playing games in two of the Swindon & District Bowls Association Leagues and one playing in the Kennet Over 55's league in Berkshire. We also play mixed Triples matches in the Ashley Baker League and our ladies play weekly friendly matches with a variety of clubs in the area.

As well as our outdoor bowls programme, during the Winter months (Oct to March) we play short mat bowls. Members meet every Tuesday afternoon (2-4pm) to roll-up and we also run club singles, pairs and triples competitions. In addition we also have a skittle alley which again is in use during the Winter for games against other local clubs or just socially for our own members.

We have an active Social Membership who enjoy regular fortnightly Coffee Mornings and monthly Sunday Lunches as well as a number of other events during the year.

How to find us: We are situated at the end of Gravel Walk approximately 50m before the mini roundabout junction of Lechlade Road and Gloucester Street. The driveway entrance is on the left hand side of Gravel Walk, set back from the road. Helpfully we now have a sign at the roadside indicating the driveway entrance.

 

 

 

Each week the bar is open for Friday Club Night when members meet to enjoy a drink and socialise. All members are entered into a Free Friday Night Draw to win a cash prize provided they are present when the draw takes place between 9 - 9.30 pm.
