Community Orchard

The Parish Council would like to provide a community orchard in the Village for the benefit of all residents and has identified the open space to the north of the Saddington Grange Estate as a suitable site.

This would involve removing some of the smaller trees and possibly the large overgrown clump of trees/shrubs at the top end and planting approximately twenty five fruit trees of various varieties; apple, pear, plum etc. The orchard would be open to all and the fruit available to all. We hope to engage the local primary school in the planting and encourage it to use it for educational purposes. We believe this would be a unique facility for Fleckney residents. The proposed area for the orchard is shown on the map overleaf.
