Donations are now beginning to arrive (many thanks to those who have contributed) towards the footbridge. However, we need a lot more if we are going to meet our target. We are therefore seeking people who can help us with publicity (online, press, TV, radio, posters, lealets etc), to help with seeking funding and to help with awareness-raising days. If there is someone out there with experience of applying for lottery money, especially a Heritage Lottery grant, then we would be grateful if you could step forward. Equally, if there are any Facebook or Twitter fanatics who are willing to apply themselves to this worthy cause, it would help us to reach out to a much wider audience.

On the management committee, we are seeking a Treasurer and a Secretary, the latter role being somewhere between a company secretary and an administrator. Like the other roles described here, the work can be shared out if enough people put themselves forward. For instance, a treasurer may end up working with a paid bookkeeper in the longrun, or the Secretary might find someone to deal with membership.

We want to build up some groups who can work away at the various tasks and report back to the management committee as required. If you can only spare a certain amount of time, that's fine - we simply need people who are preapred to contribute some of their precious time and skills to helping us with our project to save the footbridge.
