On Tuesday 26th November from 10am-6pm. the chandelier above the stage of the Sidholme Music Room, will be re-instated.
It will also be lit for the first time in over a hundred years.
LED lamps will now be used, of course, rather than gas lights.
This means that four of the seven chandeliers will have been fully restored since the project began in 2016.
The complete set of wall lights(15 in total) is now fully operational after renovation by one of the Friends of the Music Room with back up from David Wilkinson.
The public are invited to view the re-instatement process and the dismantling of two further chandeliers which will be removed to the workshops of Wilkinson Ltd. near Sittingbourne in Kent.
Refreshments will be available and the restoration staff will be available to answer questions about the processes involved.
