The club continues to flourish in spite of a lot of underlying difficulties. Our playing staff saw us through a difficult season .We finished mid position in all the leagues and fulfilled all our fixtures unlike some other clubs. We reached the third round of the Glover trophy beating Poly of Mansfield on the way only to lose against Porchester by 6 shots.

The hot weather again caused problems with the condition of the Coronation park green . The neglect by the council resulted in cancelled matches as the grass died through lack of water . Remedial work has been undertaken in the close season and we will be monitoring progress in the new year .

There are changes to our league programme next year as we enter a 3 by3 Saturday league .

Our Presentation night at the Hoggs Head Awsworth was vey enjoyable and a fitting end to the outdoor bowls season.

The club is resolved to formulate plans to boost recruitment.A sub committee has formed to boost the awareness of the sport locally and attract younger players into the club.

Looking forward we all hope for a happier period ahead .There are many worries .Although playing bowls is a boost to help maintain fitness many older players have health concerns during an uncertain time.

Lets hope he green shoots of next spring herald a happier time for this troubled world.
