The club off to a shakey start with victories hard to come by. The club is in change with some new faces settling in and some older players retiring.

After being dumped out of the Steel trophy at Mansfields Poly we started to settle ,helped by a pleasant friendly match at Mansfield bowls Club . On Monday 16th May we took revenge against Poly winning the Glover Trophy tie on our home turf . Following another win v Trent Vale we faced Rolls Royce last years champions in a Saturday tie losing by 4 shots this match again highlighting the need to strengthen the squad.

With a full programme of league ,Cup and club competitions the club is trying hard to bolster its numbers .We are offering free taster sessions on Sunday afternoons by appointment . Getting players to have a go is one thing ,getting them to progress to league standard is difficult and requires a degree of commitment ,not always forthcoming in these difficult times.

Anyone who wants to have a try out give our coach a call on 01773716076. All you need are flat shoes we have the rest of the gear.
