Greyhound Trust Shropshire & Borders
Toby - Lurcher
Help Toby to find his new home. Toby has been returned to Greyhound Trust Shropshire & Borders due to a change in his family’s circumstances and through no fault of his own. He is about 9 years old and has been in a home for the last 7 years. He is a stunning lurcher with a shaggy grey coat (possibly deerhound x ) about the same size as an average greyhound, he has lost the end of his tail but it doesn’t hinder him in any way, just adds to his character! He is a very lovable dog who is good on the lead and enjoys his walks. He is used to living on his own but could perhaps with careful introduction live with another dog. He is good around livestock and chickens but has never been tried with cats. He is happy to be left for a few hours on his own but doesn’t do stairs. He does like his own space and for this reason we believe he would prefer a home without young children, although he would be fine with older children over 12yrs. He is neutered and up to date with his vaccinations, he does suffer with some age related arthritis and he is currently on some medication which is helping him, if needed this could be funded by us for the rest of his life. He still has lots to offer a new family and can't wait for someone to offer him a loving new home. Toby is in a foster home for now, if you are interested in offering him a permanent new home please do contact us in the usual ways - by phone or email.
