President v Captain Shield

The nights are drawing in, the wind had a cold chill, the leaves fell on the green as we said goodbye to the 2024 season by celebrating a Harvest Festival in style. The President, Sue’s team, stormed to a convincing victory over the Captain’s team as the last rays of sunshine bathed the greens in a mark of respect long overdue. Triumphing and resigned in equal measure the merry bowlers retired to a gorgeous feast of cured ham, homemade apple cake and ice cream prepared by Louise surrounded by pumpkins and pinecones, and reminisced over games won and lost, now consigned to myth and legend.
