Snowhill Rec Ground

Snowhill Recreation Ground is a run and managed by Hartshill and Nuneaton Joint Recreation Ground Facility. 

It is a large recreation Ground in the village, home to both adult and childrens football pitches, toddler play area, outdoor gym, sports court and MUGA.

Access to the Rec can be found through the alley on Church Rd or the carpark on the corner of Victoria Rd/Coleshill Rd. 

 

Sports Pavillion

Hartshill sports pavilion has a 17 m x 3m community room with a small kitchen attached

The building complies with FA specification for a 2 team changing pavilion with two separate shower/changing rooms and a separate referee’s room

The new sports pavilion was opened on 26th April 2013 by one of the founding members of Hartshill Sports Club Mr Hughie Renshaw - the club's President
Members of Nuneaton & Hartshill Joint Recreation Ground Committee and Hartshill Parish Council, together with others who have supported the project were present at the official opening

The Pavilion has been planned for many years and built for a total funding of approximately £200,000

Substantial funding was provided by Section 106 Developer Contributions from Persimmon Homes and De Mulder Enterprises

De Mulder Enterprises also contributed and extra £10,000 to cover a shortfall in funding

Other funders include LEADER via North Warwickshire Borough Council £45,000 
(LEADER grant money comes from the European Agricultural Fund using the acronym of Liaison Entre Actions de Développement de l'Economie Rurale). 
The LEADER fund is set up to act as the liaison between the European fund and the project instigators in the local area.

Other funders were the Football FoundationCoalfield Industry Welfare Organisation, and NISA Supermarket

Grateful thanks go to these funders and other groups - their support has achieved a very successful outcome
