Big Local Festival Sat.17-8-19

The Mens'Shed set up a stall at the Bridge Community Centre as part of Big Locals' Festival on Sat..17th to advertise our Being and concept of what we do in the Ore area and was pleased with the comments and enquiries we received from the Local population..We displayed various objects and wares that are made here at the Shed and were delighted with the response,especially with the fine carvings that were fashioned by our" Modest" Chairman Godfrey Bevan,of whom runs the Monday sessions of the Woodcarving section... All in All it was a very interesting day to see happy smiling Mums ,Dads and Kids enjoying themselves with all the other entertainment that had been laid on for them from The Big Local... Another happy footnote to add was the look on Big Locals' Chairman's face when Reg Hollands had asked him about a certain car's registration that he had written down from the street parked about 100 yds away, and then realizing that it was his own !!! was then reunited with his Coolpix camera that had been laying in the gutter alongside Richard Street's vehicle!.......
