A couple of weeks ago a Lady ( approx 80 yrs.old ) phoned us up and asked if we could renovate a small handcart that her Mother used to be pulled around the Kentish Hopfields by her Grandmother in the summer season. On inspection of the cart possibly 100 yrs. old, here at the "Shed" we found various problems of split hubs, broken spokes, bent stub axles, rotten pulling handle and split wood in places... As you can see from our photos it is a lovely little piece of social history and well worth renovating by "The Lads".... Our Woodturners fashioned 44 new Oak spokes for the wheels.and the rims made round again,we had the stub axles heated up and straightened out with the ongoing work of the renovation for the woodwork still in progress.
