“Welcome to Hedgerley!”

Welcome to the website of Hedgerley Parish Council.

On this website you will be able to find a range information about the parish council and the work it undertakes.  

The Council has powers laid out in the Local Government Act 1972 amongst other legislation.  Parish Councils have an overall responsibility for the well-being of a local community.

A Parish Council is the third tier of local government, after Buckinghamshire County Council and Chiltern District Council. 

The Parish Council is the locally elected democratic voice of Hedgerley. It comprises of seven Councillors who make decisions on the management and use of various assets and open spaces owned and/or controlled by the residents of the village. Parish Council Meetings are held monthly and are open to the public. Meetings dates can be found on this website, and the corresponding minutes posted shortly after the date of the meeting.

The Parish Council ensure that money allocated for local use is utilised in the best interests of the Village. The Parish Council also helps to channel any community concern regarding major developments to the correct authorities.
